My parents are coming to visit today. It's kind of strange because not seeing them for about 2 months made me want to really see how they are doing. I guess that just means I miss them.
I caught up with David last Friday to eat and just to see what's up. He gave me a great reminder that we should always be on our toes as Christians. There is always an opportunity to introduce Christ into conversations, to be a light to others, and to welcome the outsiders that enter our church. That is huge for me. As part of Inreach it's also a personal goal of mine to make visitors feel welcome. I have failed greatly at times. This is sad because at one point or another in our lives we used to be those outsiders, those people that hang out in a church courtyard looking around, waiting for someone to talk to them. I was reminded to never show favoritism. We all deserve and need fellowship.
Thoughts about everything and nothing.
