Lately I've been falling out of the rhythm of doing my devotionals. I cannot question how much we stand to gain from spending this quality time with God. It has been a frustrating week and I realize that depending on yourself will never get you far. You need support, strength and fellowship. What you base your identity upon is so important. Christ tells us that He is the vine and that we are the branches. This passage alone from John compels me to stay close to Him. It has been a tough week even without midterms and quizzes, staying disciplined in the word is a hard thing to do. But I think it's well worth our efforts and our devotion.
